RBAZ isn't just an organization, we are a family.
My name is Eron Rubio, I’m 23 years old and I was diagnosed with retinoblastoma when I was 2 years old. I graduated from Dobson High School, class of 2009. While there, I was a student athlete. I was a 3 year wrestler at 160lbs. I started on varsity for 2 years and was team captain my senior year. Currently, I am working full time as a HVAC specialist. My hobbies are basically video games, running, and playing basketball daily. I am also a huge sports fan. The New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals are my favorite NFL teams. And the Phoenix Suns is my favorite NBA team. I volunteer more than a week of my time, every year with Arizona Camp Sunrise and Sunrise Sidekicks. It’s a week long camp for either kids who have or had cancer, and their siblings. Although I have a prosthetic right eye, I live a normal and more than happy life. I even forget that I am half blind most of the time. It doesn’t stop me from anything I do.
I am also a loving and devoted father to my 3 year old son, Maverick.
